Celebrating Detroit public schools recognition for students with something sweet!
Cinnamon Honor Roll is a free monthly community program created by Black Tiger Fusion to honor and celebrate elementary students from Detroit public schools. Chef Nick, a proud alumni of these schools, is eager to give back to the community.
Each month, one elementary classroom will be selected to receive complimentary fresh cinnamon rolls and ice cream as a special student celebration. Delightful flavors of cinnamon rolls include Strawberry Cream and Peach Cobbler, served alongside Vanilla ice cream or Strawberry Sorbet.
How It Works
- Nominate a Detroit public elementary school classroom or teacher online.
- Share why the students deserve Detroit public schools recognition for achievements such as improvement, attendance, kindness, leadership, or positive behavior.
- Black Tiger Fusion will select one classroom each month.
- The school must complete the required waiver and secure parent/guardian permission before participation. It's essential to disclose any student allergies to wheat, dairy, or eggs on the form.
- Black Tiger Fusion will provide the cinnamon rolls and ice cream at no cost.
- Future plans include a fun science activity making ice cream with Dry Ice, allowing students to create their own flavors.
Who Can Submit?
Teachers, parents, school staff, and administrators may submit a nomination for the Cinnamon Honor Roll.

This program takes place on the 1st Monday of each month.
Open to participating Detroit public elementary schools. Selection is subject to school approval, program availability, signed parent/guardian permission, and a review of dietary restrictions. Allergies to wheat, dairy, or eggs must be disclosed in writing on the required form.
